This blog is about a physical journey between Cape Town, South Africa and Lalibela, Ethiopia. It is also about how two people try to make a livelihood while living in transit.

Samantha Wong is an Australian solar energy engineer who is pretty good at accumulating stuff. She thought it would be a good idea to live out of a car for a while to simplify her life. Her other half, Andrew, puts up with this behaviour and agreed to give it a go. If they find a way to make this work, they're just going to keep on going.

 

Sam and Andrew have moved around a bit and have lived in Australia, Kenya, the U.K. and South Africa. This is their first overland adventure.

If Sam did believe in reincarnation, she was probably a turtle at some stage of her existence.
